Privacy Policy

The extension's page detector runs on pages you visit because attorney biographies can appear on many different law-firm domains. When it recognizes a supported professional profile, it may read the visible professional information automatically to show the ATS status overlay and check whether that person is already in the ATS. Saving or importing a candidate record requires you to click an import control or choose the extension's context menu command.

The information read from a profile can include the person's name, firm, title, office location, practice areas, education, bar admissions, biography, professional history, publicly displayed contact details, page URL, and visible page text. Supported sources include LinkedIn, Martindale, Chambers, Leopard Solutions, Avvo, Justia, and law-firm websites.

The extension also sends operational events to the Voll ATS, including the current page URL, timestamps, detected site type, success or error information, and limited extracted details such as a professional's name or firm. These diagnostics help us operate and troubleshoot profile detection and imports.

• It does not use Chrome's browsing-history API.
• It does not read saved passwords, authentication cookies, or autofill data.
• It does not send messages or submit forms on third-party sites on your behalf.
• It contains no advertising or third-party advertising trackers.
• We do not sell or rent information to anyone, and we never have.

Profile information is used to check for an existing record, preview an import, and, when you choose to import it, create or update a recruiting record. It is sent to the Voll ATS at ats.vollrecruiting.com, or to another internal recruiting destination that an administrator has configured in the extension. Access to those systems is limited to authorized staff.

When a page's layout prevents structured reading, the page text is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently Anthropic and OpenRouter) for the sole purpose of extracting those same fields. Only the visible page text and its URL are sent. That text is handled under those providers' API terms, and we do not send them your credentials.

Railway provides application hosting for the Voll ATS. Google provides Chrome and Chrome Sync for extension settings. Anthropic and OpenRouter provide the extraction service just described. We do not share extension data with other parties except when required by law or to protect the security of the service.

Each user authenticates with an API key. The key and destination settings are stored in Chrome's synced extension storage and may be synchronized by Google to other Chrome browsers signed in to the same Google account. When making recruiting-system requests, the extension attaches a key only to the destination for which that key was configured; it is not sent to AI providers or advertising services. If a key is lost or exposed, contact us and it will be revoked.

The extension also keeps recent-import and import-attempt information in local extension storage so it can show status and support retries.

Candidate records are business records and are kept for as long as they remain useful to our recruiting work or until an authorized deletion request applies. Extension diagnostic logs expire automatically after 30 days. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension data from that browser, but it does not delete records already saved in a recruiting system. Synced settings are managed through the user's Google account and Chrome Sync controls.

Most information in the ATS concerns legal professionals and is drawn from public or industry sources. If you are an attorney and want to know what we hold about you, or want it corrected or removed, email john@vollrecruiting.com and we will respond.

We use information handled by the extension only to provide or improve its disclosed profile-capture and ATS-status features, maintain their security and reliability, and support users. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
